mind, body, and spirit
through massage therapy.
When I was young, I beat up my body through normal junior high and high school sports. My hips began to stiffen and I was diagnosed with Osgood-Schlatters disease. Both issues made it very difficult to walk. I started therapy with a massage therapist on a weekly basis and found out that I had severe scar tissue built up in my hips from sports. My massage therapist worked on my issues and sent me home with activities to help loosen the scar tissue and walking became easier. I decided then that I wanted to help people as much as she had helped me. After I received my BA from Purdue University in 2005, I enrolled in the massage therapy degree program at Professional Careers Institute (now Kaplan College) in Indianapolis in 2006. I graduated in the spring of 2007 with Honors.
